Press release: Steve writes second ‘For Dummies’ book

Steve Collings, award-winning Technical Director at Sale accountancy firm Leavitt Walmsley Associates, will be releasing two titles for worldwide publisher John Wiley & Sons (Wiley) in as many months.
FAQs in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) will be released on 1st March and Financial Accounting For Dummies will be completed and launched in April. It’s been a year of hard graft for Collings, who at one point was writing three books simultaneously (!) with work on the forthcoming titles starting in March and September 2012 respectively.
As well as continuing the high standards of accounting and auditing expertise for clients of the ACCA Quality Checked firm, Steve will be working alongside the president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS), Sir David Tweedie, as part of his role as UK representative on the Editorial Board for Wiley.
Steve comments “I’m thoroughly delighted to be involved in so many activities helping fellow accountants all over the world understand how to achieve high standards in financial reporting.” However, Steve is equally passionate about providing a tailored level of service to the firm’s clients alongside Managing Director, Les Leavitt, and was awarded the Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards for Small-Medium Entities by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) earlier this month. He continues “I genuinely believe in the phrase ‘practice what you preach’ and feel that there’s no point being an authoritative expert in your field if you don’t apply the expertise to your everyday work.”
Both books are aimed at students, professionally-qualified accountants and auditors, and the publishers are expecting the same categorical success as the previous best-selling paperbacks, all of which have been ranked number 1 on Amazon.
